Some Of Our Happy Couples
The wonderful setting of The Manor at Burton, Christchurch was the setting for the wedding of Emily & Matt. Such a beautiful and welcoming couple who wanted their special day to be exactly that, with friends and family surrounding them. What we ended up with was an example of how to be in control of everything with no fuss or stress, well until the moment came to enter the room when the bride got a touch of the gitters! She was quickly calmed and the ceremony went perfectly with Mum shedding a few tears, but I'm not sure if that was from happiness at seeing her daughter marry the love of her life, or from hilarity at some of the antics this couple had got up to during their 'love story'! I'm am truly blessed to meet my couples and become a part of their most special day.
It was a garden wedding for Lara and Ed on a beautiful August day in Thame. Their family and friends gathered in Lara's parent's magnificent garden for the ceremony which included a surprise Loving Cup ceremony for this happy couple. Lara looked amazing and Ed scrubbed up well too! I am so lucky to be doing something I really love to do.
A blustery day in Manchester saw me perform the ceremony for the beautiful Corrine and her new husband Andrew. Corrine and Andrew decided to have The Wine Ceremony included in their ceremony and it was brilliant to perform something different for them. Their guests were all so very complimentary about the ceremony which made the trip 'up North' all the more worthwhile!
It was a vow renewal for Terry and Zena that found us all at The Cock Hotel in Stony Stratford on a blazing Saturday in July. 10 years on and this couple were clearly still very much in love. Their son made a very handsome best man with their twin girls as bridesmaids who also wrote and read a poem to their parents - a lovely day all round!
Emma and Steve tied the knot on Good Friday - is that an omen? They are a lovely couple who made me laugh from the first time I met them. They told me that their relationship has been a laugh a minute and they have laughed until their ribs ache each and every day. A lovely sunny day that even had Emma running from the wasps when the photographer tried to take photos under a tree. The photo was quickly taken and then they moved to the front of the hotel to have photos with Daphne taken - can you guess who Daphne is?
A beautiful couple asked me to perform a handfasting for them. They wanted it to be very personal to them with no guests, just myself and the two of them, which was just lovely. My husband accompanied me to the venue and met the couple. The text I got from them afterwards was:
'Thank you it was a truly beautiful ceremony. It exceeded our expectations and it was genuinely lovely to meet you both and have your preside and share our special commitment to each other. It was very meaningful to us both and we appreciate all the effort you put in to making it special for us. Wishing you both all the very best'
Another sunny day for this couple who flew over from Australia for their wedding. Mike and Jo were so very kind and Jo was so organised - a pleasure to work with. Their wedding in Henley was just perfect! Again the surprise addition of the personalised unity candle was very well received - I do like to surprise my couples when I can!
Sunshine at last! A beautiful setting in Towcester, a lovely couple and a ceremony that was just perfect for Will and Jen. The weather hadn't been too brilliant leading up to the day but the sun shone for them. As a surprise I included the personalised unity candle ceremony at the end which they absolutely loved!
It was on another cold and blustery March day that saw Deneen and Bruce from USA renewing their vows 25 years on. Their children also took part in the ceremony making it very special for Deneen and Bruce. We were able to hold the ceremony in a lovely little church just off Berkeley Square in London.
A cold, wet and windy day in March was brightened with Catalina and Javier's Handfasting at Stonehenge. A beautiful ceremony, full of laughter and fun ended with me leading a Harlem Shake at the bride's request! Once they got over the shock, all the guests joined in too!
